Happy Sunday everyone! Last night we went to see our friend +Bryan Patrick Stoyle in Vito's Cat - a Wayword Entertainment and JB Productions film. The movie was really good and Bryan was excellent in his part! They're hoping to extend it to a feature film - can't wait to see more.

Yummy Sparkling Lemonade Recipe
By Vicky Nardone
Our friend Bill got a Soda stream from his girlfriend Amanda for Christmas. If you're not familiar with what the Soda Stream is, you can use it to make your own pop. It carbonates the water for you and then you buy flavored syrups to pour in to the carbonated water. You can check them out here. We were in this cool cooking store in the Galleria Mall called "Le Gourmet Chef" and we saw them and Matt decided he wanted to try one out to see what it was like. We ended up having Bill and Amanda over for dinner and they brought the soda stream and a bunch of different flavors for us to try.

Save The Date Scrapbook Page
By Vicky Nardone
Matt and I got married on June 16th of 2012. I've slowly been putting together a scrapbook of our wedding. Tonight I decided to work on the "Save the Date" page. We got the save the dates for our wedding through weddingpaperdivas.com. The photos on it were all taken by one of our bridesmaids and good friends Mel. She is a super-talented photographer. She spent a whole afternoon going around with us to local scenic places and taking photos. We had our actual wedding photographer do an engagement shoot as well, but we ended up dressing more formally and we thought the pictures Mel took of us looked more natural.

Geeky Thank You Card

My family has belonged to a local theater group since before I was born. Every year at Christmas, some of the people in the group get together for a Christmas party. One of the hi-lights of the party is a White Elephant gift exchange. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, everyone anonymously brings a gift and then we draw numbers and go in order of our numbers for picking out gifts. Everyone has the option to either "steal" a gift that has already been opened from someone else or pick a new gift from under the tree. This year, my mom almost ended up with the picture to the left.

Dr. Who Hat
By Vicky Nardone
My husband Matt and I love the BBC show Dr. Who. If you've never seen it, the show is about this "alien" time traveler who travels the universe in a Tardis (a bright blue British police call box) helping to save the world. The show has been on since 1963 and has been gaining popularity since it came back in 2005. Check it out - I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. They have most of the episodes on Netflix.
Anyway, I was looking for a new knit or crochet project and I decided I had to make Matt a tardis hat for the winter. It's been really cold in Buffalo for the last week or so and he definitely needed something to keep his head warm. I had made him a knitted hat a couple years ago and he complained that after wearing it for a while the yarn started to get scratchy so as a solution I added a fleece lining to the hat. I saw this idea on pinterest and I loved it! Not only does it help keep his head warmer and prevent the hat from being scratchy but it also hides the inside of the hat so you don't have to worry about making the inside look neat when you're finishing the hat.
